A flashy and high-octane blast from the past
Revolgear Zero is a premium action game that leans heavily into old-school nostalgia. Its mechanics will instantly feel familiar to players who grew up playing classic shoot 'em up games. It’s not trying to change the formula—it just brings back the fun.

Set on the distant planet Ribor, the story of Revolgear Zero unfolds as a mysterious cosmic force known as Xeno threatens total destruction. To protect their world, rival Revolgear pilots Shizuku and Akane are forced to fight side by side. As they pilot their respective ships, the Pheasant and the Dove, their fierce rivalry gradually transforms into an unexpected friendship.
Multiple modes, endless replay
Revolgear Zero really nails that "one more run" feeling across its seven stages. Instead of just recycling the same enemies, the game constantly throws new visual themes and patterns at you to keep you on your toes. The best part has to be the ship customization, though. You get a massive arsenal to play with, so you can experiment and tinker with different loadouts and builds until you get one that fits your playstyle.
By defeating enemies, you earn coins that can be spent in the shop to upgrade your ship with new gear. The game features two main modes: Standard and Boss Rush. You can also grind through 30 unique missions. Flying solo is enjoyable, but the game really is best enjoyed in local co-op. Blasting through waves of enemies with a friend makes the whole experience much more fun and chaotic.
The game will challenge your reflexes and timing as you dodge waves of bullets and enemies. While there isn’t a ton of content, the replayability is solid thanks to hundreds of possible builds. With its sci-fi look, flashy visuals, and punchy sound effects, it’s a fun arcade ride. Just don’t expect a deep plot—there’s a story, but it mostly just sets the stage and doesn’t really dive into the characters or world as you play.
Action over lore
If you miss the thrill of old-school shoot ‘em ups, Revolgear Zero is a must-try. Customizing your ship and teaming up in local co-op makes even the toughest stages a blast. The narrative is pretty thin, and the game is short, but the sheer fun of the gameplay, stylish sci-fi visuals, and bullet-hell chaos make it a refreshing pick for arcade fans.
